Description

The Knightsbridge 14W outdoor LED bulkhead is a 315mm diameter ceiling and wall light with an integrated SMD LED module, an opal polycarbonate diffuser, and a chrome effect trim ring. The fitting carries an IP65 rating, making it suitable for outdoor installation and indoor wet environments including bathrooms, utility rooms and covered porches. The CCT function allows the colour temperature to be set to 3000K warm white (1130lm), 4000K neutral white (1260lm), or 5700K cool white (1210lm) via a switch on the gear tray before final installation.

Designed for residential, commercial and light industrial applications, the bulkhead mounts directly to a wall or ceiling surface using a push-fit fast-fix terminal block that accepts standard UK fixed wiring. The hinged gear tray allows access to the wiring compartment and CCT selector without removing the entire fitting, simplifying installation and lamp replacement when the LED module reaches end of life after approximately 50,000 hours (L70B50 rating). The 74mm projection from the mounting surface and low-profile design suit corridors, stairwells, external doorways and utility areas where headroom or clearance matters.

The polycarbonate construction provides impact resistance superior to glass or acrylic equivalents, with the opal diffuser distributing light evenly across a 115-degree beam angle. The chrome effect finish on the trim ring gives a modern, reflective accent that pairs with contemporary and commercial interiors. The Class II double-insulated construction removes the need for an earth connection, simplifying wiring where existing circuits lack an earth conductor. The 5-year warranty covers the integrated LED module and driver.

The CCT selector switch is located on the hinged gear tray inside the fitting. Set the switch to 3000K (warm white), 4000K (neutral white), or 5700K (cool white) before final installation and power-on. The setting cannot be changed while the fitting is live.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP65 rating means the fitting is protected against water jets from any direction, making it suitable for bathroom zones 1 and 2 (outside the shower/bath enclosure itself) and wet utility rooms. Always follow current wiring regulations for bathroom installations.
