Description

The Knightsbridge 13A switched fused spur unit provides switching and fused isolation for fixed appliances such as extractor fans, water heaters, towel radiators and kitchen appliances. The unit combines a rocker switch with an integrated 13A fuse holder behind a smoked bronze screwless faceplate made from premium-grade steel.

Designed for residential and commercial installation, the fused spur allows hard-wired appliances to be isolated without turning off a circuit at the consumer unit. The rocker switch controls power to the load, while the fuse protects the circuit from overload. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, leaving no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed. The unit requires a standard 25mm minimum back box depth and is certified to BS 1363-4.

The smoked bronze finish provides a warm metallic tone with a dark pewter-like patina that sits between black and bronze. The low-profile design projects just 4.3mm from the wall surface and includes an integrated gasket behind the faceplate to reduce dust ingress and improve the seal against the mounting surface. The steel construction gives the unit a substantial feel compared to plastic equivalents, and the smoked bronze pairs well with industrial, contemporary and mid-century interiors where darker metal accents are used.
