Description
The Knightsbridge 13A switched fused spur unit combines a screwless anthracite faceplate with a single rocker switch and integral fuse holder rated at 13A. The switch isolates the circuit supplying the spur, allowing appliances or fixed equipment to be safely disconnected without needing to access the consumer unit. The fuse holder accepts a standard 13A cartridge fuse, providing overcurrent protection for the connected load.
Designed for kitchens, utility rooms and commercial environments, the fused spur controls fixed appliances such as water heaters, extractor fans, boilers and hardwired ovens. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, giving a clean finish without visible fixings once installed. The anthracite finish provides a dark grey metallic tone that pairs with both contemporary and industrial interiors.
Constructed from premium-grade steel and certified to BS 1363-4, the unit meets British safety standards for switched connection units. The 87.5mm square faceplate sits 4.3mm proud of the wall surface and requires a minimum 25mm back box depth. The rocker switch is embossed with the unit's function, while the matching anthracite fuse holder cover opens to reveal the cartridge fuse for inspection or replacement. Knightsbridge backs the unit with a 25-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What back box depth is required?
A 25mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The screwless cover plate adds 4.3mm of projection from the wall once fitted.
What appliances is this fused spur designed for?
The 13A rating suits fixed appliances such as water heaters, extractor fans, boilers, hardwired ovens and washing machines. The switch allows the appliance to be isolated without accessing the consumer unit.
Can the fuse be replaced?
Yes. The anthracite fuse holder cover opens to reveal the cartridge fuse. Replace with a standard 13A BS 1362 cartridge fuse of the appropriate rating for the connected load.
Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?
Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the unit and re-clipped without re-wiring.
