Description

The Knightsbridge 13A DP key lockable socket is a 2-gang outlet with a key-operated lock that can be set to either the on or off position, preventing unauthorised power access. The socket is housed behind a smoked bronze screwless faceplate with a black insert, and uses double-pole switching to isolate both live and neutral lines when switched off.

Designed for communal spaces, hotel rooms, student accommodation, libraries, waiting rooms and workshops where power access needs to be controlled, the key lock mechanism prevents outlets being switched on or off without the key. Two keys are supplied with each socket. The 13A rating handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W per outlet.

The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, hiding all fixings once installed and giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The smoked bronze finish is a dark gunmetal tone that sits between polished chrome and matt black, pairing well with contemporary, industrial and darker-toned interiors. The black insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and defines the edge of each outlet aperture. The socket requires a minimum 47mm back box depth for safe installation.
