Description
The Knightsbridge 13A DP key lockable socket provides two switched outlets behind an anthracite screwless faceplate with a black insert. A key-operated switch locks both outlets in either the on or off position, preventing unauthorised use of the power supply. The socket is supplied with two keys and requires a 47mm minimum back box depth for installation.
Designed for hotels, student accommodation, shared workspaces, retail environments and communal areas where controlled access to mains power is needed, the key-lock mechanism prevents appliances being plugged in without authorisation. The double-pole switching isolates both live and neutral lines when the outlets are switched off, providing additional safety over single-pole switching. The 13A rating on each outlet handles standard UK appliance loads up to 3,120W.
The anthracite finish is a dark charcoal grey with a subtle metallic sheen, providing a contemporary alternative to black or brushed chrome finishes. The black insert behind the faceplate conceals the back of the cover plate and defines the aperture edges. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. The premium-grade steel construction carries a 25-year warranty and an IP20 rating for indoor use.

What back box depth is required?
A 47mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The screwless cover plate adds 4.3mm of projection from the wall once fitted.
