Description
The Knightsbridge LEDFRA1 is an in-line RF dimmer controller for single-colour 12V or 24V LED strip lighting, supplied with a wireless remote offering eight brightness levels from 10% to 100%. The controller sits between the LED driver and the LED strip, connecting via standard strip connectors without requiring additional wiring knowledge.
Designed for under-cabinet lighting, display shelving, cove lighting and anywhere single-colour LED strip needs dimming control, the controller handles up to 72W at 12V or 144W at 24V. The wireless RF remote operates within a 15m range and works through walls and cabinet doors, so the controller can be hidden behind furniture or inside cupboards without affecting signal reception. Eight preset brightness buttons (10%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%, plus two brightness-adjustment buttons) allow immediate jumps to common light levels without stepping through increments.
The controller housing is a compact 57mm x 6mm white polycarbonate unit rated IP20 for indoor dry locations. It connects inline between the driver output and the LED strip using push-fit connectors supplied in the box. The remote runs on a CR2032 battery (included) and stores the last brightness setting when powered off, so the strip returns to the same level when switched back on. Class III isolation means the controller operates entirely on low-voltage DC and presents no mains shock risk once installed downstream of the driver.

Frequently Asked
Does this work with RGB or colour-changing LED strip?
No. The LEDFRA1 is designed for single-colour LED strip only (warm white, cool white, or single-colour runs). For RGB or RGBW strip, a multi-channel controller is required.
What's the maximum LED strip length this can control?
The controller handles up to 72W at 12V (equivalent to approximately 6m of standard 12W/m strip) or 144W at 24V (approximately 12m of 12W/m strip). The actual maximum length depends on the power consumption per metre of your specific LED strip.
Can multiple controllers be paired to one remote?
Knightsbridge RF controllers typically pair one remote to one controller. If you need to control multiple zones independently, each zone requires its own controller and remote. Consult the manual for pairing instructions.
Does the controller remember the brightness setting when turned off?
Yes. The controller stores the last brightness level in memory. When power is restored or the remote is used to turn the strip back on, it returns to the same brightness setting.
