Description
The Knightsbridge NETPIRSWH is a 50x50mm PIR sensor module with manual override, designed to fit euro modular frames accepting 50mm square inserts. The passive infrared sensor detects movement across a 120° field up to five metres away, switching connected lighting on when motion is detected and ambient light levels are low.
Designed for hallways, stairwells, WCs, utility rooms and commercial corridors where automated lighting reduces energy waste, the module uses a three-minute time delay that switches the light off after the last detected movement. The override button on the front faceplate switches between AUTO (sensor-controlled) and ON (permanent light) modes, allowing manual control when continuous illumination is needed without triggering the sensor repeatedly.
The white polycarbonate construction gives a clean finish against white or light-toned walls and matches standard white modular switch ranges. The module is rated for loads up to 100W LED or 200W incandescent, making it compatible with most residential and light commercial lighting circuits. Installation requires a 47mm minimum back box depth and standard live and neutral wiring. The sensor lens sits slightly recessed behind the faceplate to reduce accidental contact.
This module requires a separate modular faceplate (sold separately) to complete the installation. Knightsbridge modular faceplates are available in a range of finishes including polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, matt black and white to match other switches and sockets in the same room.

Frequently Asked
What back box depth is required?
A 47mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The module itself has a recessed depth of 40mm, with the remaining space accommodating wiring and connections.
Does this include a faceplate?
No. This is the sensor module only. You need to purchase a compatible euro modular faceplate separately to complete the installation. Knightsbridge produces modular faceplates in multiple finishes to match your other switches and sockets.
How does the override function work?
The small button on the front switches between AUTO mode (sensor-controlled, light comes on with movement) and ON mode (light stays on continuously). Press once to override AUTO; press again to return to sensor control.
What's the detection range and timer setting?
The sensor covers a 120° field up to five metres away. After the last detected movement, the light remains on for three minutes before switching off automatically. The timer duration is pre-set and not adjustable on this model.
