What's the difference between 115V and 230V outputs?

The socket provides both voltages through an isolating transformer. Devices designed for 115V (primarily North American and some Asian shavers) draw from the 115V output, while 230V devices (most UK and European shavers) draw from the 230V output. The voltage is selected automatically based on the connected plug.

Can this be installed in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP41 rating protects against solid objects larger than 1mm and vertically dripping water, making it suitable for bathroom zones where shaver sockets are permitted under BS 7671 wiring regulations. Consult a qualified electrician to confirm correct zone placement.

What back box depth is required?
