Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX 4-gang 2-way switch provides independent control of four separate lighting circuits from two locations, behind a smoked bronze screwless faceplate with matching metal rockers. Each gang is rated at 10AX (2,300W on 230V mains), making the switch suitable for controlling high-load circuits including multiple downlights, fluorescent fittings or LED arrays on a single circuit.

Designed for hallways, landings, large living spaces and commercial interiors where multiple circuits need control from entrance and exit points, the 2-way configuration allows each circuit to be switched from either location. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. The switch requires a minimum 16mm back box depth and includes an earth terminal for Class I installation.

The smoked bronze finish is a dark metallic tone sitting between gunmetal and chocolate brown, providing a contemporary accent that pairs with industrial, modern and warm-toned interiors. The premium-grade steel construction gives the faceplate a 4.3mm projection from the wall, creating a low-profile finish that sits nearly flush with plasterwork. Each rocker is manufactured in the same smoked bronze finish as the plate, maintaining visual consistency across all four gangs.

What does 2-way switching mean?

2-way switching allows each of the four circuits to be controlled from two different locations — typically an entrance and exit point in the same room, or top and bottom of a staircase. Each gang operates independently, so circuit 1 can be controlled from both locations, circuit 2 from both locations, and so on.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 16mm back box depth is needed for safe installation. The screwless cover plate adds 4.3mm of projection from the wall once fitted, giving a low-profile finish.

What load can each gang handle?
