Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX 4-gang 2-way switch provides four independent lighting circuits behind a screwless anthracite faceplate with matching metal rockers. Each gang is rated at 10AX (10 amps at 250V), handling loads up to 2,300W per circuit, which covers standard LED, halogen and incandescent lighting arrays without needing separate dimmer modules.

Designed for rooms where multiple lighting zones need independent control from two locations, the 2-way configuration allows each circuit to be switched on or off from either of two wall positions. This suits open-plan living areas, hallways with switches at both ends, or bedrooms where lighting is controlled from the door and bedside. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed.

The anthracite finish is a dark grey-charcoal metal tone that sits between matt black and brushed gunmetal, pairing well with industrial, contemporary and minimalist interiors. The premium-grade steel construction gives the faceplate rigidity without flexing when the rockers are pressed, and the 4.3mm projection from the wall keeps the profile low. A 2-way switch allows the same lighting circuit to be controlled from two different wall locations. This is the standard configuration for hallways, staircases and any room where you want to turn lights on or off from either end.

What back box depth is required?

A 16mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The screwless cover plate adds 4.3mm of projection from the wall once fitted.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the switch and re-clipped without re-wiring.
