Description
The Knightsbridge 10AX 3-gang 2-way switch controls three independent lighting circuits from two locations, fitted behind an anthracite screwless faceplate with matching metal rockers. The 10AX rating handles loads up to 2,300W per gang, making it suitable for LED, halogen and incandescent lighting circuits.
Designed for residential and commercial installation, the switch fits a 16mm minimum back box depth and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. This means there are no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The 2-way switching allows the same three circuits to be controlled from both ends of a hallway, staircase or large room.
The anthracite finish is a dark charcoal-grey with a low-sheen surface that minimises fingerprints and pairs well with industrial, contemporary and monochrome interiors. The matching metal rockers are cut from the same premium-grade steel as the faceplate, creating a uniform surface rather than the contrasting white or black plastic rockers found on budget switches. The built-in gasket behind the faceplate keeps dust and moisture out of the switch mechanism, and the unit carries IP20 rating and EN 60669-1 certification.

Frequently Asked
What does 2-way switching mean?
2-way switching allows the same lighting circuit to be controlled from two different switch locations. For example, you can turn a hallway light on at one end and off at the other. This switch provides 3-gang 2-way functionality, meaning three separate circuits can each be controlled from two locations.
What back box depth is required?
A 16mm minimum back box depth is needed for safe installation. The screwless cover plate adds 4.3mm of projection from the wall once fitted.
Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?
Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the switch and re-clipped without re-wiring.
What other finishes are available in this range?
Knightsbridge produces this style in a range of finishes including polished chrome, brushed chrome, polished brass, antique brass, matt black and white. Use the search function or filters to find other variants in stock at Niori.
