Description

The Knightsbridge 10AX 1-gang 2-way switch features a smoked bronze screwless faceplate with a matching metal rocker. The 10AX rating handles lighting loads up to 2,300W on 230V, making it suitable for multi-bulb circuits, dimmer switching and standard on/off control for ceiling lights, wall lights and floor lamps.

The 2-way switching configuration allows the same light circuit to be controlled from two different wall positions, commonly used for lighting in hallways, staircases, bedrooms with separate entrance and bedside switches, and living rooms with switches at both doorways. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame fixed to the back box, hiding all fixings once installed and giving a clean finish against painted or wallpapered walls.

The smoked bronze finish is a dark, warm metallic tone with subtle brown undertones, sitting between antique brass and matt black on the spectrum. The premium-grade steel construction gives the faceplate a solid 4.3mm projection from the wall once fitted, with rounded corners on an 87.5mm square plate. The built-in gasket between the cover plate and sub-frame prevents dust and paint ingress during installation and redecorating. The switch is rated IP20 for indoor dry locations and carries EN 60669-1 certification.
