Description

The Knightsbridge 100 x 50mm brush module is a Euro-module cable management plate with a grey ABS surround and central brush strip that allows cables to pass through a wall cutout whilst maintaining a finished appearance. The dense black bristles part to allow HDMI, power, ethernet and other cables through, then close around them to conceal the aperture and the void behind the wall.

Designed for wall-mounted TV installations, home cinema setups, and workstation cable routing, the module fits standard 100 x 50mm Euro-module apertures in dry-lined walls, plasterboard partitions and cabinet backs. The curved design sits flush with the wall surface once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional cable grommets or unfinished drilled holes. The grey finish matches typical electrical accessories and blends with neutral wall colours.

The ABS construction carries an IP20 rating, meaning the module is suitable for dry indoor environments only and must not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or outdoor locations. Knightsbridge specifies that this module must NOT be installed in the same faceplate as other modules, and must NOT be installed in the same wall channel as power sockets, due to the risk of contact with live voltage through the brush aperture.

Frequently Asked

What size aperture does this fit?

The module is designed for standard 100 x 50mm Euro-module cutouts in plasterboard or dry-lined walls. The actual faceplate dimensions are 100 x 50mm, so the wall aperture should be cut slightly smaller to allow the plate to sit flush and be secured from behind or with a backing frame.

Can this be used in the same wall box as a power socket?

No. Knightsbridge explicitly states this module must NOT be installed in the same channel or wall box as power sockets, because the brush aperture allows access to the void behind the wall where live cables may be present. This creates a serious electric shock risk.

How many cables can pass through the brush?

The brush strip parts to accommodate multiple cables depending on their diameter. A typical wall-mounted TV installation might run 1-2 HDMI cables, 1 power cable, and 1 ethernet cable through a single module. Overloading the aperture with too many thick cables will prevent the bristles from closing properly around them.

Is the brush removable for threading cables?

The brush strip is fixed within the grey ABS surround. Cables are threaded through by parting the bristles with your fingers or by feeding the cable end through from behind the wall during installation.
