1 Gang TV Aerial Socket - Pink

This is a single gang coaxial socket for a television aerial feed, moulded in pink and set on a screwless plate. The face is 88mm square, with softly rounded edges and no visible screwheads, so it sits flat and quiet against the wall. It carries signal rather than mains, and the connector takes a standard aerial lead pushed straight on. We stock it in pink because a plate on a bold wall should either disappear or join in with the colour, and this one is firmly the second.

It is one we point people towards for bedrooms, playrooms and studies where the decorating has been done with some nerve: a pink plate reads as deliberate against white, pale grey or a deeper rose wall. Beyond the home it earns its place in salons, nurseries and small studios, anywhere a television point sits at eye level and a plain white square would look like an afterthought. Keep it to dry indoor rooms; steam and splashes are outside what it is meant for.

The plate and its surround are polycarbonate, a tough moulding that takes colour well and shrugs off knocks from furniture and vacuum cleaners, while the screwless format keeps the visible face unbroken. Cleaning takes very little: a dry microfibre cloth for dust and fingerprints, and a barely damp cloth for anything sticky, with cream cleaners and solvents kept well away as they will dull the finish. It carries a ten year warranty. If further points are going on the same wall, we would keep every plate in this screwless style so the pink stays the one bold note and the rest of the wall reads as calm.

What size is the plate?

The face measures 88mm by 88mm, with a depth of 25mm behind it. It is a standard single gang footprint, so it lines up neatly with other plates of the same size.

What is it made from?

Polycarbonate, a hard-wearing moulded plastic, finished in pink throughout the plate and surround.

Is this for an aerial or for mains power?

It is an aerial socket, carrying a low voltage signal from a coaxial feed. It is not a power point and nothing mains-driven should be connected to it.

Can I use it in a bathroom or a garage?

No. It is rated IP20 and intended for indoor use only, so dry rooms rather than wet areas or unheated outbuildings.

How do I keep the pink looking fresh?

A dry cloth for dust and marks, and a slightly damp one for stubborn spots. Avoid abrasive creams, bleach and solvent-based cleaners, which can leave the surface looking chalky.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes, it carries a ten year warranty from the manufacturer.
