Description

A single coaxial connection on a screwless flat plate, finished in Ice White. The front cover clips into place, so nothing breaks up the face of the plate and you get a clean 88mm square with the aerial connector set in the middle. The white is bright and slightly warm rather than stark, and the profile is shallow, which is what makes screwless plates so easy to live with in a room full of them.

This is the plate we reach for when a television point needs to disappear into the wall behind a set, and it works equally well in a bedroom, a study or a hallway where an aerial run ends. It handles the aerial and data side of things on a low voltage circuit rather than mains, so it sits comfortably alongside a power point on the same stretch of wall. We would choose it for anyone gradually bringing a room's plates over to the same screwless style, particularly where older ivory or bevelled plates are coming out and the aerial position needs to match everything else. The plate and cover are moulded polycarbonate, a hard-wearing plastic that takes a smooth, even white and shrugs off knocks in a busy hallway. Keeping it looking new asks very little: a dry cloth over the surface now and then, and a cloth wrung out in warm water for finger marks, leaving polishes, solvents and abrasive creams well away from the moulding. It carries a ten year warranty.
