Description
A single coaxial connection on a flat, screwless plate, finished in a deep green that reads closer to bottle than olive. The connector sits centrally on a square face measuring 88mm across, with no screw heads breaking up the colour, so the front is one unbroken piece rather than a fussy little panel. We reach for this where plain white plastic looks like an afterthought against a dark painted or papered wall, and where the hardware is better off looking deliberate.
Its job is simple: bring the aerial lead up to the wall and hand it neatly to the television. That makes it the piece to fit behind a wall-hung screen in a sitting room, at low level in a snug beside the power point, or in a bedroom where a smaller set lives on a chest of drawers. It works on the signal side rather than mains power, and it is intended for dry rooms inside the house, so kitchens and hallways are fine while garden rooms and outbuildings are not the place for it.
The plate and connector housing are moulded in polycarbonate, a hard-wearing plastic that takes knocks from vacuum cleaners and furniture without chipping the way a painted metal edge can. Keep it looking right with a dry cloth over the face now and then; where hands have marked the plastic, a cloth wrung out in warm water will lift it, and nothing solvent-based should go near the green. It carries a ten year warranty. In a room where you are already running dark walls or panelling, we would carry the same green across the switches and sockets on that wall so the television point disappears into the scheme instead of announcing itself. Aerial cable and any splitters are separate items.

Frequently Asked
What size is the plate?
The face is square at 88mm by 88mm, which is the standard single plate footprint, and the moulding sits 25mm deep.
What does screwless mean here?
The visible front plate clips over the base, so there are no screw heads on the face. You get an uninterrupted green surface with just the connector showing.
Is this for a television aerial or for satellite?
It is a coaxial aerial socket, intended for a standard television aerial feed. Satellite runs use their own connector type.
What is the plate made from?
polycarbonate, chosen because it is tough, colour-stable and easy to wipe clean.
How should I clean it?
A dry cloth for dust, and a cloth barely dampened with warm water for marks. Avoid solvents, cream cleaners and anything abrasive on the green finish.
Can it go in a bathroom or outside?
No. It is made for indoor rooms that stay dry, so keep it away from wet areas and any external wall exposed to weather.
