Description
Behind the plain charcoal face sits a single coaxial connector, ready to take the fly lead from a television, an aerial amplifier or a set top box. The front carries no visible screws, so the plate reads as one flat piece of dark grey rather than a fixture with hardware on show. It keeps to the standard single plate footprint of 88mm square, which means it lines up neatly with the rest of the plates on a wall. This is a signal connection rather than a power one, working on a low voltage aerial circuit indoors.
We use it wherever a screen needs a tidy feed: a living room chimney breast, a bedroom wall opposite the bed, a kitchen corner with a small set, or a home office where a monitor doubles as a television. Charcoal plates suit darker paint, deep greens and greys, and exposed brick, where a white plate would jump out at you. It is one we reach for when a customer wants the aerial feed to sit low behind a wall hung screen and vanish once the television is up.
The plate and the clip-on cover are moulded in polycarbonate with a matt charcoal finish that carries the colour right through the material, so light scuffs do not flash pale underneath. Keep it looking even with a dry or barely damp cloth, working around the connector rather than over it, and leave solvents and cream cleaners well away from the moulding. The connector itself only needs an occasional check that the lead is pushed fully home. It carries a ten year warranty. We stock this one in charcoal, and it pairs well with dark switch plates and brushed metal ironmongery if you are working a whole room through in one tone. The aerial lead is not included.

Frequently Asked
What size is the plate?
It is a standard single plate, 88mm high by 88mm wide, matching the usual one gang footprint used across UK switch and socket plates.
Does this carry mains power?
No. It is a low voltage signal connection for an aerial or coaxial feed only, classed as Class 3 low voltage.
What is the plate made from?
Moulded polycarbonate in a matt charcoal finish, with the colour through the material rather than sprayed on the surface.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
No, it is intended for dry indoor rooms only, on aerial and data circuits.
What connection does it take?
A single coaxial connector, suited to a standard television fly lead from an aerial, amplifier or set top box.
How should I clean it?
Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, cream cleaners and solvents, which can dull the surface.
