Description

A satellite point in a deep plum, this one takes an F-type screw connector behind a screwless plate, so nothing breaks up the front face. The plate is square, 88mm on each side, keeping it in step with the switches and sockets along the same wall. It is a low voltage part for indoor use, carrying the feed from a dish through to a receiver.

We stock it for rooms where the plates are doing some of the decorating: a media wall in a sitting room, a bedroom where the television sits on a chest of drawers, a study corner. It suits anyone who has chosen a coloured finish elsewhere in the room and wants the satellite point to match rather than sit as a white square. It also works in a hallway or a spare room where a second receiver feed is wanted. It is one we reach for where a single feed is all that is needed and a multi-way plate would only add clutter.

The plate is moulded polycarbonate, tough enough for years of daily use and light in the hand. The plum finish is even across the whole face. For cleaning, a dry duster does most of the work; where fingermarks gather near the connector, a cloth wrung out in warm water and dried straight after will lift them, and cream cleaners and solvents are better kept well away. It is a part for data circuits rather than mains work, and it belongs in dry indoor rooms. It carries a ten year warranty. Plum sits well against warm greys, brass and darker papers, and on a pale wall it reads as a small piece of colour rather than hardware.
