Description
A single F-type satellite connector sits on a flat front plate with no visible screws, so the face reads as a clean square of dark brown. The plate measures 88mm square and sits close to the wall, which keeps it quiet beside picture rails and dark joinery. The connector is centred, ready for the threaded F-type lead that runs from a dish down to a receiver, and this is low voltage work: satellite and data circuits rather than mains power.
We would put this in a lounge, snug or main bedroom where the satellite feed arrives and the decoration runs dark: stained timber, deep heritage paint, walnut or oak trim. It is the plate we choose when a white one would jump off the wall beside a dark skirting board or a panelled dado. It also suits anyone tidying a media wall, where a television point, a data socket and this satellite socket can end up side by side and are better in one finish than three. Indoor rooms only, and dry ones.
The plate and the connector housing are moulded in polycarbonate, coloured dark brown, and the screwless face gives dust nowhere obvious to gather. Upkeep is light: a dry cloth over the front when you dust the room, a barely damp one for finger marks, and nothing abrasive or solvent based anywhere near the moulding. It carries a ten year warranty. We like it in rooms where brown ironmongery and dark woodwork already set the tone, and if a wall carries several plates, we would keep every one of them in the same dark brown rather than mixing brown with white or brushed steel.

Frequently Asked
What size is the plate?
It is a square plate, 88mm by 88mm, with a depth of 25mm behind the face.
What type of connector does it take?
A threaded F-type connector, the standard fitting on satellite coaxial leads between a dish and a receiver.
Can I use it for a normal aerial lead?
No. F-type is the satellite standard and takes a screw-on plug, so an ordinary push-fit aerial lead will not connect to it. An aerial socket is the part you want for that.
What is it made from?
Moulded polycarbonate in dark brown, including the plate and the connector housing.
How should I clean it?
Dry dusting is usually enough. For marks, use a cloth just barely damp and dry it straight away, avoiding scouring pads, cream cleaners and any solvent.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, it carries a ten year warranty.
