Description

The Knightsbridge CL1GPC is a 1-gang modular faceplate in polished chrome with a rounded edge profile and screwless finish. The plate accepts a single euro module insert (sold separately), allowing bespoke configuration for TV coax, RJ45 data, HDMI, USB or telephone connections. The 85.75mm square footprint fits standard UK single-gang back boxes with a 7.5mm plate projection from the wall.

Designed for media walls, home office installations and AV setups where standard sockets do not provide the correct connectivity, the modular faceplate allows you to choose the exact insert type needed rather than being locked into a fixed socket configuration. The screwless cover clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. The built-in gasket between the plate and the back box improves the seal and reduces movement after fitting.

The polished chrome finish is a high-gloss reflective coating over 304 stainless steel, offering corrosion resistance and durability in high-traffic areas such as offices, hotel rooms and residential living spaces. The rounded edge profile softens the plate outline compared to flat-edge alternatives and reduces the chance of catching clothing or bags on the wall fitting. The faceplate carries a 25-year manufacturer warranty and an IP20 rating for indoor dry-location use.

What euro module inserts does this faceplate accept?

The faceplate accepts any single 25mm x 50mm euro module insert including TV coax, RJ45 data, HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, telephone and blank modules. Inserts are sold separately and clip into the aperture from the front once the faceplate is fitted.

Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?

Yes. The polished chrome cover clips onto a separate metal sub-frame that is screw-fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting or wallpapering around the faceplate and re-clipped without disturbing the wiring or the euro module insert.

What back box depth is required?

A standard 25mm or 35mm single-gang back box is suitable depending on the depth of the euro module insert being used. HDMI and data modules typically need a 35mm back box to accommodate cable bend radius behind the insert.
