Description
The Knightsbridge 1-gang modular faceplate is a matt black stainless steel plate designed to accept euro module inserts for TV, HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, RJ45 data, or BT telephone sockets. The faceplate itself is the mounting frame — inserts clip into the central aperture to create a custom configuration for media walls, workstations, or AV installations where standard UK sockets don't suit.
Designed for residential and commercial use, the plate fits standard UK single-gang back boxes and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a sub-frame, concealing fixings for a cleaner finish. The built-in gasket provides a seal between the plate and the wall surface, improving acoustic isolation and reducing light bleed around the edges on painted walls. The matt black finish is applied to 304 stainless steel, giving corrosion resistance and a consistent non-reflective surface that pairs with matt black switches and sockets in the same range.
At 87.75mm square with 7.5mm projection from the wall, the faceplate sits flush with plasterboard and provides a shallow profile suitable for stud walls and surface-mounted boxes. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry indoor locations only — not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or outdoor use. The 25-year Knightsbridge guarantee covers manufacturing defects but does not extend to euro module inserts, which are purchased separately.

Frequently Asked
What inserts does this faceplate accept?
The faceplate accepts standard euro module inserts including TV coax, HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, RJ45 data, BT telephone, and blank modules. Inserts are sold separately and clip into the central aperture to build a custom socket configuration.
Is it screwless?
Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame that's fixed to the back box with screws. Once clipped, no fixings are visible on the wall surface.
What back box is required?
A standard UK single-gang back box is required. The plate projection is 7.5mm, so a 25mm minimum back box depth is recommended to accommodate euro module inserts behind the faceplate.
Can it be used in bathrooms or kitchens?
No. The IP20 rating restricts this faceplate to dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for use in bathrooms, near kitchen sinks, or in any location where water ingress is possible.
