Description

Wired networking still beats wi-fi for anything that really matters, and this is the tidy way to finish it off. The plate carries one data position for Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling, in a light grey that settles quietly against pale paint and paper. The screwless front shows no screw heads across its 88mm square face, so the eye passes straight over it and on to the room. It serves low voltage data circuits, with no mains power at the front.

We reach for this one in home offices and studies, where a desktop, a printer or a network drive wants a proper cabled link rather than a signal fighting its way through two walls. It is just as useful behind a television, feeding a set-top box or a games console, and in spare bedrooms that have been turned over to work. Where a room needs data but no extra power, this is the plate we would choose, and it repeats neatly along a wall or above a run of desks when more than one position is wanted.

The plate is moulded in polycarbonate with the light grey carried in the finish, and the format is the small square that sits comfortably beside other plates at the same height.
