The plate is unpopulated and sold without a dimmer module. You need to purchase a separate Knightsbridge dimmer module — either centre-mounted or offset — that matches your lamp type (LED, incandescent, halogen). The module clips or screws into the back of the plate.

Can this be used with LED bulbs?

Yes, provided you fit a trailing-edge LED-compatible dimmer module behind the plate. Standard rotary dimmers designed for incandescent lamps often cause flicker or poor dimming range with LEDs, so module selection matters.

What back box depth is needed?

Knightsbridge dimmer modules typically require a 25mm minimum back box depth, though deeper boxes (35mm) provide more space for cable management. Check the specific module datasheet before installation.

Is the rounded edge screwless?
