Description
The Knightsbridge 1-gang dimmer plate is an 89mm square antique brass faceplate designed to accept either centre or offset dimmer modules. The plate is supplied unpopulated, allowing you to pair it with the specific dimmer module that matches your lighting load and control requirements. A matching antique brass metal cap for the dimmer knob is included.
Designed for residential lighting control in rooms where a single dimmer circuit is needed, the plate suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining areas. The square edge profile sits flush with the wall surface, giving a defined edge and clean transition between the plate and the wall finish. The antique brass finish provides a warm, aged metallic tone that pairs well with traditional brass hardware, heritage-style switches, and warm-toned interiors.
The plate is constructed from premium-grade steel with a brushed antique brass coating that shows the directional grain of the metal surface. The built-in gasket between the plate and the back box improves dust and moisture resistance to the IP20 rating, suitable for dry indoor locations. The earth terminal allows connection of the earth wire from the back box to the metal plate. Knightsbridge backs the plate with a 25-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
Is the dimmer module included?
No. The plate is sold unpopulated, allowing you to choose the dimmer module that matches your lighting load. Knightsbridge offers centre and offset dimmer modules rated for LED, halogen and incandescent loads, sold separately.
What's the difference between centre and offset modules?
Centre modules position the dimmer knob in the centre of the 89mm plate. Offset modules position the knob to one side, allowing you to install multiple offset modules on a multi-gang plate. For a single 1-gang plate, either type works.
Can this be used in bathrooms?
The IP20 rating means the plate is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It should not be installed within bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2 where water splash or moisture exposure is possible.
What back box depth is required?
A 25mm minimum back box depth is needed for most dimmer modules. The plate adds 10.5mm of projection from the wall surface once fitted.
