The Knightsbridge SF2191SB is a 1-gang 2-way intelligent dimmer rated for 10-200W loads (5-150W for LED) behind a smoked bronze screwless faceplate with a matching rotary dimmer cap. The dimmer supports both trailing-edge and leading-edge dimming modes, selectable via a front-mounted switch, making it compatible with most dimmable LED, halogen, and incandescent bulbs.

Designed for residential lighting control, the dimmer suits living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas where variable light levels are needed from a single wall switch position. The push-on/push-off rotary action turns the light on or off at the last-set brightness level, while rotating the cap adjusts brightness smoothly across the full range. Pre-set in trailing-edge mode for LED compatibility, the dimmer can be switched to leading-edge mode for older halogen or incandescent loads using the front knob.

The smoked bronze finish is a dark metallic pewter tone that sits between brushed steel and aged bronze, pairing well with industrial, contemporary, and transitional interiors. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate metal sub-frame, leaving no visible fixings on the wall once installed. Built-in overload protection, overheat protection, and an inrush current limiter prevent damage from transient current spikes when bulbs are switched on.

For consistent performance, avoid mixing different lamp brands, wattages, or technologies on the same dimmer circuit. The dimmer requires a 25mm minimum back box depth and fits standard UK wiring layouts with screw terminals for live, switched live, and earth connections.
