Description

The Knightsbridge SF2191MW is a 1-gang 2-way intelligent dimmer switch rated for 10-200W loads on incandescent and halogen lamps, or 5-150W on LED lamps. The dimmer uses a rotary knob with integrated push-on/push-off control, allowing smooth dimming from the front panel without needing a separate switch. A matt white screwless faceplate with matching dimmer cap sits 4.3mm proud of the wall once installed, giving a minimal profile for contemporary and modern interiors.

Pre-set to trailing-edge mode for LED compatibility, the dimmer can be switched to leading-edge mode via the front-mounted knob, making it compatible with most dimmable LED, CFL, incandescent and halogen lamps. The 2-way wiring allows control from two separate switch positions, commonly used in hallways, staircases and larger rooms with entry at both ends. The dimmer fits a 25mm minimum back box and connects via screw terminals with an earth terminal provided.

Built-in overload protection, overheat shutdown and an inrush current limiter prevent damage from transient loads or over-current conditions. The front knob also acts as the mode-switching and trim control, allowing fine adjustment of minimum and maximum brightness levels once installed. The matt white finish provides a clean, neutral accent that pairs with white walls, light-toned joinery and minimal interiors without creating visual contrast.

For best performance, use identical lamp types and wattages on the same dimming circuit. Mixing different LED brands, wattages or lamp technologies on one dimmer can cause flicker, buzzing or incomplete dimming range. Where mixed lamp types are unavoidable, test the combination before final installation.
