Description

The ESP 1-channel PoE injector delivers 30W of power over a single Ethernet cable, allowing Power over Ethernet devices to be installed up to 100 metres from the nearest mains socket. The injector accepts a standard AC mains input and combines it with the data signal from a network switch or router, sending both power and data down a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable to the connected device.

Designed for IP cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points and other PoE-compatible equipment, the injector removes the need to run separate power cables to devices mounted in ceilings, on walls or outdoors where mains sockets are impractical. The unit sits between the network switch and the powered device, typically installed in a comms cabinet, under a desk or in a loft space where mains power is available but the end device location is not.

The 30W output supports both IEEE 802.3af (15.4W) and IEEE 802.3at (30W) standards, making it compatible with standard PoE devices and higher-power PoE+ equipment such as pan-tilt-zoom cameras and dual-band access points. The compact 170 x 90 x 65mm housing includes one PoE output port and one LAN input port, both RJ45. The injector does not require configuration — it auto-detects whether the connected device supports PoE and supplies power only when a compatible device is present.

Frequently Asked

What devices does this PoE injector support?

The injector supports any IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at compliant device, including IP cameras, VoIP phones, wireless access points and network switches. It auto-detects PoE capability and supplies power only when a compatible device is connected.

How far can the PoE signal travel?

The injector supports transmission up to 100 metres over Cat5e or Cat6 cable, which is the maximum distance for standard Ethernet before signal degradation occurs. Beyond 100m, a network extender or additional PoE injector is required.

Does it need to be configured?

No. The injector is plug-and-play. Connect the LAN port to your network switch or router, connect the PoE port to your powered device, and plug the injector into mains power. It auto-detects whether the device supports PoE.

Can it power multiple devices?

No. This is a single-channel injector, powering one device per unit. For multiple devices, use a multi-port PoE switch or install multiple single-channel injectors.
