Description

The Knightsbridge OS022 is a 1-10V daylight sensor that detects ambient light levels and sends a 0-10V control signal to compatible LED drivers, dimming the connected lighting load as natural daylight increases. The sensor adjusts continuously across a dimming range of 10-100%, maintaining consistent overall light levels while reducing energy consumption during daylight hours.

Designed for commercial, office and residential installations where daylighting varies throughout the day, the sensor mounts in three ways: recessed into ceilings or walls via an 18mm cut-out, surface-mounted using the included sleeve, or panel-mounted into control enclosures. The 750mm pre-wired cable provides enough length for typical ceiling cavity routing to a driver or controller. The adjustable lux threshold spans 10-500 lux, allowing the sensor to be calibrated to different room types and window exposure.

The white polycarbonate housing measures 22mm diameter by 24mm height when surface-mounted, with a 26mm recessed depth when fitted flush. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. The sensor pairs with any 1-10V dimmable LED driver and can be wired in parallel with compatible motion sensors to create a combined daylight-harvesting and occupancy-sensing control system. The Class III rating means the sensor operates at extra-low voltage and does not require earthing.

Frequently Asked

What LED drivers is this sensor compatible with?

The sensor works with any LED driver that accepts a 0-10V or 1-10V dimming control signal. Common compatible drivers include those labelled 'DALI/1-10V dimmable' or '0-10V analogue dimming'. Check the driver specification sheet to confirm 1-10V input compatibility before wiring.

Can this sensor be used with motion sensors?

Yes. The OS022 can be wired in parallel with compatible Knightsbridge motion sensors to create a combined control system where lighting dims based on daylight availability and switches off when the space is unoccupied. Refer to the product manual for correct wiring topology.

How is the lux threshold adjusted?

The lux threshold is adjustable between 10-500 lux using a control built into the sensor body. This allows calibration to suit different room types: lower thresholds for offices with large windows, higher thresholds for spaces with minimal natural light.

What's the difference between recessed and surface mounting?

Recessed mounting requires an 18mm cut-out in the ceiling or wall, with the sensor sitting flush and projecting 26mm into the cavity. Surface mounting uses the included sleeve over a 28mm cut-out, leaving the 24mm-high sensor body visible on the surface. Panel mounting is for control enclosures and uses the same 18mm aperture as recessed installation.
