Description

The Zon is a 40.6cm diameter white metal mounting ring designed to provide the ceiling-mounted framework for round recessed downlights in the Maytoni Zon range. The ring sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, creating a 47.2cm outer diameter aperture with the downlight fitting clipped into the central 40.6cm opening. The 6.4cm depth accommodates the mounting springs and allows the ring to sit securely in the ceiling void.

Designed for new-build installations or ceiling refurbishments where recessed downlights are being fitted, the ring is installed into the ceiling cut-out before the downlight itself is clipped in from below. The metal construction provides rigidity around the aperture edge, preventing sagging or distortion over time where plasterboard alone would flex. The white powder-coated finish matches standard ceiling paint and sits flush with the plaster surface once the downlight is fitted.

The IP20 rating limits this ring to dry internal locations — living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and offices where moisture and dust ingress are not concerns.
