Description

The Zon is a 30cm flush ceiling light with an integrated 36W LED module emitting warm 3000K light through a white acrylic diffuser, housed within a matt black aluminium drum that sits just 6cm from the ceiling. The IP20-rated fitting mounts directly to standard UK ceiling roses without needing a visible pendant drop or chain, making it suited to rooms where ceiling height is limited or a minimal visual presence is preferred.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms (outside zones requiring higher IP ratings), and utility rooms in homes with ceiling heights under 2.4m, the Zon provides general ambient light across a floor area of approximately 9-12m². The 36W LED output is equivalent to roughly 200-250W of traditional incandescent lighting, distributed evenly by the acrylic diffuser to avoid harsh shadows or visible LED hotspots. The flush mounting and low profile allow the fitting to be installed in spaces where a pendant would hang too low or where a recessed downlight installation is not possible.

The matt black aluminium drum provides a defined edge against white or light-coloured ceilings and pairs cleanly with industrial, Scandi and monochrome interiors. The 36W LED module is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation, which equates to roughly 10-12 years of typical domestic use at 6-8 hours per day. Maytoni provides a 5-year warranty covering the LED module.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture ingress. It can be installed in bathrooms outside zones 0, 1 and 2 (typically this means at least 60cm away from a bath or shower). For installation directly above a bath or shower, a fitting with IP44 or higher is required.
