Description

The Selvara is a 620mm tall alabaster wall light built around a slender column of natural Spanish alabaster mounted to a rectangular brushed brass backplate. An integrated 8W LED runs the length of the column, casting warm 3000K light through the stone so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser. The fitting measures 110mm wide and projects 100mm from the wall, giving a clean vertical line without dominating the surface it sits on.

The vertical format suits hallways, stairwells, bedside walls, dining room flanks and bathroom-adjacent dressing areas where a tall, soft column of light reads better than a round wall plate. Mounted in pairs either side of a bed, a mirror or a doorway, the Selvara provides ambient wall-wash without the glare of a downward spotlight. The integrated LED removes any need to source bulbs and keeps the column free of visible filament or socket details.

Each alabaster column shows different mineral veining, tonal banding and translucency depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Selvara wall lights look identical when lit. The stainless steel internal structure carries the alabaster and supports the brushed brass backplate, which sits flat against the wall and conceals the driver and wiring. The brushed finish on the brass softens reflections and pairs comfortably with both warm-toned and cooler interior palettes.

Does the Selvara come with a bulb?

No separate bulb is needed. The Selvara uses an integrated 8W LED running at 3000K on 230V mains, built into the fitting and not user-replaceable. This keeps the alabaster column free of any visible socket or filament detail.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer module. Please contact us with your dimmer model before pairing, and we'll confirm whether the integrated driver will work with it.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Selvara is not supplied with a published IP rating, so it should be treated as an indoor non-bathroom fitting. It can be used in dressing areas and bedrooms but should not be installed within bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each column is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal banding and translucency differ between individual pieces. When buying a pair, expect them to be visually related but not identical, which is a feature of the natural stone.
