Description

The Zira is a 350mm-wide wall light with a frosted glass diffuser set between polished chrome frames and wenge wood accents. Two G9 bulbs sit behind the frosted glass (bulbs sold separately), diffusing light horizontally along the wall. A built-in rocker switch on the right-hand side allows the light to be operated without a separate wall switch.

Designed for bedrooms, hallways and reading areas where local switching is needed, the Zira mounts directly onto a standard UK back box with the switch controlling the two lamps independently of room lighting circuits. The frosted glass softens the output from both bulbs, spreading an even wash of light across adjacent wall surfaces rather than a focused beam. The 120mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall while the wenge detail adds a darker accent between the chrome and glass.

The polished chrome finish on the upper and lower frames reflects surrounding light, giving the fitting visual presence even when switched off. The frosted glass sits in a sealed housing, keeping dust and insects out of the lamp chamber. At 2.1kg the fitting benefits from being mounted onto a solid wall rather than plasterboard alone, and the width of 350mm suits positioning above bedside tables, either side of bathroom mirrors, or flanking doorways in pairs.

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs and wired to a compatible dimmer switch. The built-in rocker switch on the fitting is an on/off switch only and does not dim the lamps.

Can it be fitted in a bathroom?
