Description

The Zira is a 350mm wall light combining polished chrome, frosted glass panels and wenge-toned wood accents in a horizontal rectangular frame. Two G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the frosted glass, diffusing light evenly across the 350mm width to provide ambient illumination without glare or hot spots.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living room accent walls, the Zira works where soft background light is needed without the presence of a large fitting. The 120mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of door frames and furniture positioned close to the wall. The horizontal orientation suits walls between 2.2-2.5m height, typically installed 1.5-1.8m above floor level to light the middle section of the wall and avoid casting shadows on faces.

The polished chrome end brackets and central bar provide structure, while the wenge wood accents at top and bottom add a warmer material contrast to the metal and glass. The frosted glass is dense enough to hide the bulb shape when lit, presenting as two glowing panels rather than visible point sources. At 2.1kg the fitting needs secure wall fixings into solid masonry or studs rather than plasterboard alone.

The Zira takes two G9 capsule bulbs with a combined maximum load of 80W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W each and 2700K-3000K for ambient hallway or bedroom lighting.

Yes, provided you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming but the bulbs must be rated as dimmable.

What wall fixings are needed?

At 2.1kg the fitting needs secure fixings into solid masonry or wall studs. Standard plasterboard cavity fixings may not provide sufficient load-bearing capacity. Use wall plugs and screws suitable for the wall construction.
