Description

The Zip is a single pendant light built around a matt black metal lampholder and ceiling rose connected by 2000mm of black fabric cable. The lampholder accepts a standard E27 bulb (sold separately), exposing the bulb fully to act as both light source and decorative element. The matt black finish is a low-sheen varnish over metal, reducing reflections in daylight.

Designed for kitchens, dining areas and living rooms where single pendants are needed over worktops, breakfast bars or side tables, the Zip works solo or in clusters of two or three along a run. The 2000mm cable allows the pendant to drop from standard ceiling heights down to approximately 700-900mm above a surface, with the excess cable concealed within the ceiling rose on installation. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas only.

The open bulb design gives flexibility to pair the fitting with any E27 bulb type—filament LED for a warm industrial aesthetic, clear LED for sharper modern light, or amber-tinted vintage-style bulbs for softer tones. The lampholder measures 90mm in diameter and 70mm in height, giving a compact profile that works in smaller rooms without dominating the ceiling plane. The black fabric cable adds texture against white or light-coloured ceilings.

Is the Zip dimmable?

Yes, the pendant is dimmable when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself has no electronic components that would prevent dimming.

What bulb should I use?

The Zip takes any standard E27 bulb up to the maximum wattage shown in the Specification tab. Most users pair it with a filament-style LED bulb between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K for industrial or vintage-inspired interiors, or a clear LED at 3000K-4000K for modern minimalist spaces. Bulbs are sold separately.

Can multiple Zip pendants be installed together?

Yes. The compact 90mm diameter lampholder allows two or three Zip pendants to be spaced along a kitchen island or breakfast bar without visual clutter. A typical spacing of 600-800mm between pendants works well over a 2-2.5m worktop.

What's the cable like?

The 2000mm cable is black fabric-covered flex. The cable is adjustable on installation—excess length is concealed within the ceiling rose during fitting, so the pendant can be shortened to the desired drop without visible loops or bundling.
