Description

The Zinta is a 60cm crystal chandelier with six curved arms holding E14 candle bulbs, each surrounded by cascading Asfour crystal droplets and faceted crystal spheres. The frame is finished in French gold, a warm mid-tone gold with subtle antiquing that sits between polished brass and antique brass. The crystals hang from the arms and central column on individual strands, creating layers of refraction when the bulbs are lit.

Designed for dining rooms, formal living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Zinta requires E14 bulbs up to 20W each (sold separately). The drop is adjustable between 600mm and 1620mm on installation using the chain, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or set higher in a double-height entrance. The 60cm diameter suits rooms of 12-20m² without dominating smaller spaces. The chandelier is dimmable when paired with compatible E14 bulbs and a dimmer switch.

The Asfour crystals are machine-cut lead glass with a 30% lead oxide content, giving higher refractive index and sharper light dispersion than acrylic or lower-grade glass alternatives. The French gold finish on the metalwork uses a lacquered coating over brass-toned base metal, protecting the finish from tarnishing in typical interior humidity levels. At 8kg the chandelier requires a ceiling fixing rated to support at least 12kg, and the canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The chandelier requires six E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, maximum 20W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K to mimic traditional filament candlelight.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch installed on the lighting circuit. The chandelier frame itself has no electronics that would restrict dimming.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop of 600-1620mm means the chandelier works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. For dining table installation the fitting typically sits 700-900mm above the table surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.4m with the chain at minimum length.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the mains. Wipe each crystal droplet and sphere individually with a dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, lightly dampen the cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid household glass cleaners as residue can dull the crystal over time.
