Description

The Zest is a 25cm outdoor pedestal light with a white opal plastic diffuser housing a single G9 bulb fitting. The light is supplied with a 2.75m cable, a UK plug and a ground stake for fixing into soil or gravel. The rounded opal plastic diffuser spreads light in all directions, creating a soft glow at ground level.

Designed for gardens, patios, pathways and outdoor seating areas, the Zest provides accent lighting and wayfinding at lawn edges, borders and around decking. The 25cm height sits low enough to avoid obscuring sightlines across the garden while providing enough presence to mark key points along a path or the corners of a seating area. The included stake pushes into soft ground without needing wiring or hard installation, making the light easy to reposition seasonally.

The IP44 rating protects against water splashes and solid objects larger than 1mm, allowing the light to remain outdoors year-round in typical UK weather. The opal plastic diffuser resists UV degradation and conceals the bulb when viewed from any angle. The G9 fitting accepts halogen or LED capsule bulbs up to the rated wattage (see Specification), and the light is dimmable when paired with compatible bulbs and a suitable dimmer on the mains circuit.

Yes. The IP44 rating protects the light against water splashes and dust, making it suitable for permanent outdoor installation in typical UK weather. The opal plastic diffuser is UV-resistant and will not yellow or crack under prolonged sun exposure.

What bulb does it take?

The Zest takes a single G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). LED G9 bulbs between 2-5W and 2700K-3000K warm white are recommended for outdoor accent lighting. The light is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch on the mains circuit.

How is it installed?

The light comes with a ground stake that pushes into soil, gravel or soft ground. The 2.75m cable terminates in a UK plug, so the light needs to be within cable reach of an outdoor socket or extension lead. No hard wiring or professional installation is required.

Can it be used on hard surfaces like paving or decking?

The included stake is designed for soft ground only. To use the Zest on paving or decking, the stake can be removed and the light placed freestanding, though this will not secure it against movement or tipping in wind.
