Description

The Zerano is a single pendant light built around a solid rectangular block of light beige travertine, capped with a walnut brown wooden collar and suspended on a matching brown fabric cable. Light is emitted downward through an E27 fitting recessed into the base of the stone, producing a focused beam below the pendant rather than ambient room light. The travertine block measures 185mm tall on a 65mm square section.

Designed for contemporary interiors where directional light is wanted alongside natural material, the Zerano suits kitchen islands hung in pairs or threes, single-drop installation over a bedside table, or a row above a long dining table. The narrow 65mm footprint means several pendants can be grouped without the shades visually crowding each other. The fabric-covered cable is supplied long and is shortened on installation to set the correct drop.

Travertine is a natural sedimentary stone, and each block carries its own pattern of horizontal banding and open pores characteristic of the material. The cut is left raw rather than polished, so the surface keeps a matt texture and shows tonal variation between cream, sand and pale grey across each face. The walnut cap and cable repeat the warm tone of the stone's darker veining, and the recessed base means the bulb itself is hidden from most viewing angles.

What bulb does the Zerano take?

The pendant uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, recessed into the base of the travertine block. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the natural tone of the stone for dining and kitchen settings.

Will each pendant look identical?

No. Travertine is a natural stone, so the banding, pore pattern and tonal variation differ from one block to the next. When ordering multiple Zerano pendants for a kitchen island or dining row, expect each shade to carry its own markings — this is a feature of the material rather than a defect.

What kind of light does it cast?

Light is emitted downward from the open base of the stone block, producing a focused beam directly below the pendant rather than washing the room with ambient light. This makes it best suited to surfaces that benefit from directed light, such as worktops, dining tables and bedside tables.

Can the drop be adjusted?

Yes. The fabric-covered cable is supplied long and is shortened on installation to set the drop appropriate to the ceiling height and surface below. Over a kitchen island the base of the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the worktop.
