Description

The Zephyrus is a 17cm round LED ceiling or wall light with an integrated 13.5W 3000K LED behind a white plastic diffuser, housed in a white painted steel body. The circular profile projects approximately 45mm from the mounting surface, making it suitable for low-ceiling corridors, bathrooms (IP20 rated, not suitable for wet zones), bedrooms and utility spaces where compact flush or wall-mounted lighting is needed.

Designed for dual mounting, the Zephyrus can be ceiling-mounted to provide general ambient light in rooms up to 8-10 square metres, or wall-mounted as a compact uplighter or wash light in hallways and landings. The plastic diffuser spreads the 13.5W LED output evenly across the face of the fitting, removing visible hotspots and giving consistent illumination without harsh shadows. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light comparable to traditional halogen, avoiding the cooler blue tone of some LED fittings.

The painted steel body is powder-coated in a matt white finish that sits flush against white or magnolia ceilings without standing out. The fitting mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose or wall back box via the rear plate, and the LED is non-replaceable but rated for approximately 20,000 hours of use. The compact 17cm diameter means it can fit above smaller vanity units, in alcoves, and in stairwells where larger flush fittings would obstruct movement or look disproportionate.

Is the Zephyrus dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not dimmable. Connecting it to a dimmer switch may cause flickering or damage the LED driver circuit.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry areas only. It can be used in a bathroom outside zones 0, 1 and 2 (typically more than 600mm from a bath or shower), but not directly above a bath or within a shower enclosure where IP44 or higher is required.

How is it mounted?

The rear plate fixes to a standard UK ceiling rose or wall back box using screws (provided). The white cover clips or screws onto the rear plate after wiring. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

What's the expected lifespan of the LED?

Ideal Lux rates the integrated LED at approximately 20,000 hours. At typical domestic use of 4 hours per day, that equates to around 13-14 years before noticeable light degradation occurs. The LED is not user-replaceable.
