Description
The Zephyrus is a 17cm square LED flush ceiling or wall light with a white-painted steel housing and an opal plastic diffuser over an integrated 3000K LED. The square footprint measures 170mm x 170mm, making it compact enough for narrow hallways, small bathrooms and utility spaces where a larger fitting would dominate the wall or ceiling plane.
Designed for dual-mounting installation, the Zephyrus can be fixed to a ceiling or wall surface depending on where light is needed. On a ceiling it provides even downward ambient light across a 2-3m hallway or landing. On a wall it acts as a wash light or wayfinding marker in corridors and stairwells. The 3000K colour temperature gives a warm white output that suits residential interiors without the clinical tone of cooler LEDs.
The opal diffuser spreads light evenly across the panel face, avoiding hotspots and glare. The painted steel housing is surface-mounted with visible fixings — this is a functional fitting rather than a decorative one, and the clean white finish allows it to recede into white or light-toned walls and ceilings. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas only.
The integrated LED is non-replaceable and non-dimmable, rated for approximately 20,000-30,000 hours of use depending on operating conditions. Ideal Lux covers the fitting under a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the Zephyrus is rated for dry indoor areas only and is not splash-proof. For bathroom use, look for fittings rated IP44 or higher.
Is the LED dimmable?
No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and operates at a fixed output on standard 230V mains switching.
Can the LED be replaced when it fails?
No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and non-replaceable. The expected lifespan is approximately 20,000-30,000 hours, which equates to around 10-15 years of typical residential use at 4-6 hours per day.
What surface does it mount to?
The Zephyrus is surface-mounted to either a ceiling or wall. The base plate fixes directly to the plaster or plasterboard surface with screws, and the electrical connection is made inside the housing before the diffuser panel is clipped into place.
