Description

The Zephra is a 61cm diameter flush ceiling light with an integrated dimmable 23W LED set within a white powder-coated metal frame and opal polycarbonate diffuser. The 35mm height allows it to sit close to the ceiling without protruding into the room, making it suitable for spaces with ceiling heights under 2.4m where pendant or semi-flush fittings would hang too low.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and kitchens where general ambient lighting is needed without visible bulbs or complex installation, the Zephra provides 3000K warm white light distributed evenly across the diffuser surface. The dimmable LED allows brightness to be adjusted between full output for cleaning or tasks and lower levels for evening ambient lighting, subject to compatible dimmer switch installation.

The opal polycarbonate diffuser hides the LED array behind a smooth frosted surface, preventing glare when viewed from below and distributing light without visible hotspots or shadow bands. The white powder-coated metal outer frame adds a defined edge to the circular form and sits flush against most ceiling finishes. At 610mm diameter the fitting provides adequate light coverage for rooms between 12-18m² without requiring multiple fittings.

The IP20 rating makes the Zephra suitable for dry indoor locations only — it is not rated for bathroom zones or outdoor use. The integrated LED cannot be replaced; the entire fitting is treated as the light source with a 5-year warranty covering both LED and driver components.

Is the Zephra suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 35mm height makes it one of the lowest-profile flush fittings available, sitting close to the ceiling without protruding into the room. This makes it a good choice for ceilings under 2.4m where pendant or semi-flush lights would hang too low.

Can the LED be replaced when it fails?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. The entire unit is treated as the light source. Ideal Lux covers both the LED and driver with a 5-year warranty.

What dimmer switch does it require?

The Zephra requires a trailing-edge (electronic) dimmer rated for LED loads. Check compatibility with the dimmer manufacturer before installation. Standard rotary or slider dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs will not work correctly with this fitting.

What room size does it cover?

The 61cm diameter and 23W output suit rooms between 12-18m² (approximately 3.5m x 4m to 4m x 4.5m). Larger rooms may benefit from two fittings or a higher-output model.
