The Zephra is a 105cm diameter circular LED pendant light built around a matt black powder-coated metal ring with an integrated 55W 3000K LED strip and an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The ring profile measures 35mm high, creating a low-profile halo that sits close to the ceiling plane rather than hanging as a deep shade. Light is cast both downwards through the diffuser and upwards onto the ceiling, providing ambient illumination across a wide area.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, and open-plan living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Zephra provides general ambient lighting rather than focused task light. The 105cm diameter suits tables and islands between 1.8m-2.4m in length, sitting centrally above the surface with enough visual weight to anchor the space. The transparent PVC suspension cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set at the correct height relative to the table or floor.

The opal polycarbonate diffuser softens the LED output to reduce glare and spreads the 3000K warm white light evenly across the circular aperture, so the ring glows uniformly when lit rather than showing individual LED hotspots. The matt black powder coat on the metal frame provides a non-reflective finish that pairs with industrial, contemporary and minimalist interiors. The IP20 rating limits the Zephra to dry indoor locations only.

Is the Zephra dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and will not function correctly if connected to a dimmed circuit.

What size table does the 105cm version suit?

The 105cm diameter works best above tables or kitchen islands between 1.8m-2.4m in length. For smaller tables, Ideal Lux produces the Zephra in narrower diameters; for longer islands or communal tables, consider pairing two Zephra pendants in a linear arrangement.

How is the pendant height adjusted?

The transparent PVC suspension cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to be set at the required drop below the ceiling. Most installations position the ring 700-900mm above a dining table surface or kitchen island worktop.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Zephra is suitable for dry indoor locations only and should not be installed in bathrooms, kitchens directly above hobs or sinks, or any outdoor or damp environment.
