Zenona 1 Light Large Pendant - Black

The Zenona is a 640mm-high pendant light with a tapered cone shape formed from blown glass, finished in black on the outside and white-etched on the inside. The narrow cylinder at the top flares out into a wider cone at the base, creating a tall profile that suits high-ceiling spaces. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the glass, and the white etching on the inner surface diffuses the light downwards and sideways, reducing glare from the bulb while the black exterior blocks light from escaping through the sides.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Zenona provides downward task lighting with enough diffusion to avoid creating hard shadows directly underneath. The 2000mm adjustable cable allows the pendant to be hung 600-900mm above a worktop or table depending on the ceiling height and the amount of spread required. The 145mm diameter at the widest point keeps the visual footprint compact, making it suitable for single installations above smaller tables or for clustering in multiples above longer islands.

The black glass finish pairs with matt black, dark grey and charcoal interiors without creating a heavy contrast against lighter walls. The cone shape narrows the light beam compared to a dome or sphere pendant, directing more illumination downwards than sideways. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor spaces — not suitable for bathrooms or covered outdoor areas.

What bulb does the Zenona take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and kitchen use.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the fitting is dimmable when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Check that both the bulb and dimmer are rated for compatibility before installation.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 640mm height plus the 2000mm adjustable cable means the Zenona works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For a dining table or kitchen island the pendant typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, which requires clearance underneath.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Zenona is only suitable for dry indoor spaces. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms or covered outdoor areas where moisture is present.
