Description
The Zen is a single G9 wall light with an integrated switch, built on a satin nickel backplate and arm that extends 110mm from the wall. A clear glass shade with a geometric etched crisscross pattern sits at the head, diffusing light through the etched surface while leaving the pattern visible when unlit. The switch sits on the backplate itself, giving direct on-off control without needing to reach for a wall switch or pull cord.
Designed for bedside positions, hallways, bathrooms (check IP rating below) and anywhere a switched wall light is preferred over overhead ceiling fittings, the Zen mounts on a standard UK wall fixing. The 200mm height and 110mm projection suit walls beside beds, either side of bathroom mirrors, or along corridors where a compact fitting is needed. The satin nickel finish provides a soft metallic tone that pairs with chrome taps, brushed steel handles and contemporary grey or white interiors.
The etched glass creates visual interest when the light is off and softens the light output when on, turning the G9 bulb into a diffused glow rather than a point source. The fitting accepts any standard G9 capsule bulb up to the wattage limit (see Specification), and is dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 LED and a compatible wall dimmer on the circuit. At 0.80kg the light is suitable for plasterboard walls with appropriate fixings.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Zen take?
The Zen uses a single G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). G9 bulbs are small pin-base fittings commonly available in LED, halogen and low-energy formats. For bedroom or bathroom use, a 3-5W LED in 2700K-3000K warm white is typical.
Is the integrated switch a pull cord or a button?
The switch is a button or rocker switch built into the backplate itself, not a pull cord. This gives direct on-off control at the fitting without needing to reach for a separate wall switch.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The Specification table does not list an IP rating, which means the Zen is designed for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture or splashing occurs. If you need a bathroom-safe wall light, contact us for IP44 or IP65-rated alternatives.
Is the Zen dimmable?
Yes, when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and a compatible wall dimmer on the lighting circuit. The fitting itself supports dimming, but the bulb and dimmer must both be rated as dimmable for the system to work correctly.
