Zen 1 Light Table Lamp - Polished Brass

The Zen is a 310mm-tall polished brass table lamp with a square etched glass shade suspended from a curved brass arm rising from a rectangular plinth base. The glass shade measures approximately 120mm square and features a crisscross geometric pattern etched into clear glass, creating a frosted interior surface that diffuses light from a single G9 bulb (sold separately) housed inside.

Designed for bedside tables, desk surfaces and narrow console tables where a compact footprint is needed, the Zen provides task and ambient light without occupying the space of a traditional drum-shade lamp. The 140mm x 120mm base footprint fits between books, alarm clocks and typical bedside accessories, while the curved arm positions the shade forward to direct light over a reading position or work surface. The polished brass finish provides high-gloss reflections under daylight and warm metallic accents in evening light.

The geometric etching on the glass diffuses the bulb into soft ambient glow rather than harsh point-source light, making the lamp suitable for reading without glare. The lamp is dimmable when paired with a compatible G9 dimmable bulb and a suitable dimmer switch (both sold separately). The polished brass and etched glass combination suits contemporary, Art Deco-inspired and transitional interiors where warm metallics are preferred over chrome or matt black finishes.

The single G9 socket accepts a warm white capsule at 2700K or 3000K, keeping the tone in step with the polished brass finish. The 33W maximum sets the upper limit for any capsule fitted, so choose an LED within that figure for the lowest running cost.

What bulb does it take?

The Zen uses a single G9 bulb up to 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. We suggest pairing this with a G9 LED bulb between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K warm white for bedside or desk use.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, but only when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch (both sold separately). Not all G9 LED bulbs support dimming. Check the bulb packaging before pairing with a dimmer.

How is the brass cleaned?

Polished brass develops a natural patina over time. To maintain the high-gloss finish, wipe with a soft dry cloth. For fingerprints or smudges, use a barely-damp microfibre cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive polishes or household cleaners that can strip the lacquer coating.
