Description

The Hinkley Zelda is a 121mm mini pendant light built around a vertical stack of three brass spheres descending from a circular brass ceiling rose, terminating in a tapered etched glass shade held in a hemisphere cup. The vintage brass finish shows a warm, slightly aged tone across the metal spheres and canopy, contrasting with the soft white translucency of the etched glass.

Designed for task and accent lighting over kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and side tables, the Zelda works as a single pendant or in multiples spaced 600-900mm apart. The adjustable drop ranges from 388mm minimum to 1288mm maximum on installation, allowing the pendant to be set at varying heights depending on ceiling height and the surface below. The E27 socket accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W.

The stacked sphere stem gives the pendant a mid-century silhouette, while the etched glass shade diffuses light downwards and outwards rather than casting a hard spot. The 121mm diameter keeps the pendant compact enough for smaller spaces without losing visual presence. The vintage brass finish pairs with warm woods, marble worktops and both traditional and mid-century interiors.

What bulb does the Zelda take?

The pendant uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-10W warm-white LED bulb at 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting over dining and kitchen surfaces.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is adjustable on installation only, between 388mm and 1288mm. Once the pendant is wired and the canopy fitted to the ceiling rose, the drop cannot be changed without re-installation.

How many pendants are needed over a kitchen island?

For a standard 1.8-2.4m island, two or three Zelda pendants spaced 600-900mm apart provide even task lighting. For longer islands over 2.4m, consider four pendants or pair with additional recessed downlights.

Is the glass shade replaceable?

Yes. The etched glass shade sits in a hemisphere cup and can be removed if damaged. Replacement shades are available from Hinkley or through specialist lighting suppliers.
