The Zanzibar is a 130mm square LED wall light with an integrated wireless phone charger built into a horizontal shelf projecting from the lower face. The light itself comes from a concealed 3W 3000K LED strip mounted behind the main square panel, creating a backlit halo effect that washes outward onto the wall at 180° beam spread. A touch switch sits flush on the front face, controlling the 210lm ambient backlight.

Designed for bedside positions in hotel rooms, master bedrooms and guest rooms where a phone needs overnight charging without trailing cables across a nightstand. The 160mm projection from the wall provides enough depth to accommodate the wireless charging pad on the shelf while keeping the light panel forward of the wall surface. The sand white matte finish sits neutrally against light-coloured painted walls and blends into rendered, plastered or tiled surfaces in modern or minimalist interiors.

The backlit effect at 3000K warm white gives soft ambient fill rather than direct task light, making it suitable for corridors, staircases and en-suite entries where gentle navigation light is needed without glare. The 130mm square footprint works in narrow spaces between doorframes and built-in furniture where a conventional bedside lamp would not fit. At 1kg the fitting is light enough to mount on plasterboard with appropriate fixings.

Does the wireless charger work with all phones?

The charger uses Qi wireless charging, compatible with most recent iPhone (8 and newer), Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and other Qi-enabled devices. Phones must be placed centrally on the shelf pad. Phones in thick cases may need the case removed for reliable charging.

What light output does this provide?

At 210lm and 3000K the backlit LED provides gentle ambient fill rather than bright task light. It suits navigation in corridors, bedside ambient light for reading by lamp, or soft fill in en-suite entries. It will not provide enough light for reading directly from the wall fitting.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED operates at full 210lm output when switched on via the touch control. There is no dimming function.

What wall fixings are required?

At 1kg the fitting can be mounted on plasterboard using appropriate hollow-wall anchors rated for 5kg or more. Masonry walls require standard wall plugs and screws. The fitting must be hard-wired to mains 220-240V supply.
