Zanzibar Globe LED Wall Light with Switch & Wireless Charger - Sand Black

The Zanzibar is a wall-mounted LED light with a frosted opal globe sitting on a sand black platform that extends 322mm horizontally from the wall. The platform houses a wireless induction phone charger on the flat surface and a small switch recessed into the front edge. The integrated 6W LED casts 470 lumens at 3000K through the 100mm-diameter globe, providing warm ambient light while the phone charges.

Designed for bedside positions, hallway niches and lounge seating areas where both task light and phone charging are needed without occupying floor or table space. The 120mm projection from the wall gives clearance for the globe and charger surface while keeping the overall footprint compact. The switch on the platform edge allows the light to be controlled without reaching up to a wall switch or down to a cable, making it functional for bedside use where the light needs to be turned off after settling into bed.

The sand black finish is a textured matte coating that absorbs ambient light during the day and provides a subtle contrast to the frosted white globe when lit. The 178mm height positions the globe approximately level with a pillow when mounted at standard bedside height (600-800mm above the floor), directing light across the bed or seating area rather than directly into eyes. What phones does the wireless charger support?

The induction charger supports Qi-compatible devices, which includes most recent smartphones from Apple, Samsung, Google and other major manufacturers. Some phone cases may interfere with charging — remove thick cases or cases with metal plates before placing the phone on the platform.

Is the LED dimmable?

No. The integrated 6W LED operates at a fixed brightness of 470 lumens and cannot be dimmed. The on/off switch on the platform edge provides the only brightness control.

What mounting height works best for bedside use?

Most users mount the Zanzibar 600-800mm above the floor when using it beside a bed. This positions the globe roughly level with the pillow and puts the wireless charging platform within easy reach from a sitting or lying position.

Does the charger work with the light switched off?

Yes. The wireless charging function operates independently of the LED light. The phone will charge whether the light is switched on or off, as long as mains power is connected to the fitting.
