Description

The Zanthe is a 200mm-wide wall light with three G4 bulb holders set behind a cascade of suspended clear glass rods on a polished chrome rectangular frame. Each glass rod hangs vertically from a small loop attached to the top rail of the frame, creating a dense curtain of transparent glass that refracts light from the three low-voltage bulbs inside.

Designed for hallways, bedroom accent walls and living room feature walls where directed uplight or sidelight is needed, the Zanthe projects 120mm from the wall and stands 230mm tall. The glass rods catch and scatter light when the bulbs are on, producing a sparkling effect across the wall surface and surrounding space. The polished chrome frame provides a high-shine metallic accent that pairs with contemporary, art deco and transitional interiors where glass and metal finishes are already present.

The fixture takes three G4 capsule bulbs up to 20W each (sold separately), which are low-voltage halogen or LED capsules. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a trailing edge dimmer and suitable G4 dimmable bulbs. The 1.5kg weight requires secure fixing to a solid wall or stud-backed plasterboard, and the 200mm width makes the Zanthe compact enough for narrower wall sections or paired installations flanking a mirror or doorway.

What bulbs does the Zanthe take?

The fitting takes three G4 capsule bulbs up to 20W each. G4 bulbs are low-voltage halogen or LED capsules with two small pins. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white G4 LED capsules between 2W-3W and 2700K-3000K for ambient wall wash.

Is the Zanthe dimmable?

Yes, the fitting is dimmable when paired with a trailing edge dimmer switch and dimmable G4 bulbs. Standard leading edge dimmers may cause flickering or buzzing with low-voltage capsule bulbs, so a trailing edge dimmer is required for smooth dimming performance.

How is the fitting installed?

The Zanthe weighs 1.5kg and requires secure fixing to a solid wall or stud-backed plasterboard using appropriate wall plugs and screws. The backplate mounts directly to the wall and the mains voltage is converted to low voltage inside the fitting for the G4 capsules. A qualified electrician should carry out the installation.

Can the glass rods be removed for cleaning?

The glass rods are looped onto the top rail of the frame and can be individually removed for cleaning if needed. Wipe each rod with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust, or use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water for fingerprints. Avoid soaking the metal loops or using chemical sprays on the glass.
