Description

This cheerful photo frame pairs soft pastel stripes with a little bluebird perched on a leafy branch, beside a cream sign that reads 'you are my SUNSHINE'. Made from MDF, it is multicoloured throughout: a lilac border frames peach and pale grey stripes dotted with tiny grey-blue flowers, while the sign and bird sit slightly proud of the face for a gentle layered look. The window takes a 6 x 4in print in portrait, set to the left of the design, and the frame itself measures 24.9cm wide, 20cm high and 0.9cm deep, so it sits neatly without crowding a shelf.

Its soft colours and happy words suit a bedroom shelf, a bedside table, a dressing table or a desk, anywhere a favourite face can greet you each morning. The wide shape leaves room for the bird and its message alongside your photograph, so it looks just as good on a windowsill or a mantelpiece among other frames. Slip in a photograph of a sunny holiday, a smiling face or a treasured day out, and the printed words do the rest. It makes a thoughtful little gift too, ready to fill with a photograph that means something.

The frame is made from MDF with a printed face and a smooth cream back. A fold-out stand behind lets it stand on its own on any flat surface, so it needs no wall, and small turn clips hold the backing board in place, making it simple to change the photograph whenever you like. To care for it, dust with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from water, as MDF is best kept dry. For a cheerful corner, we like it beside a small vase of yellow flowers, which picks up the golden lettering on the sign.
