Description
The XLEDIM is a filament candle LED bulb on an E14 Small Edison Screw (SES) cap, the smaller of the two screw fittings. It draws just 5.9 W yet gives out 806 lumens, replacing a 60 W old incandescent bulb on a fraction of the energy. The colour is a 2700K warm white, the soft yellow tone associated with traditional candle bulbs, and the wide 320 degree beam spreads light around the bulb rather than in one direction. The C35 candle shape with its tapered flame profile suits fittings where the bulb is on show.
Because the light spreads almost all the way around, this bulb works well in chandeliers, wall lights and pendant fittings where several lamps are seen at once, as well as table and bedside lamps in living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms. Across the Atlantic this shape is sold as a candelabra bulb, though note the US candelabra cap is E12 while this is the slightly larger E14. The 806 lumen output gives a bright, even glow for general room and decorative use rather than focused task light. As an IP20 bulb it is for dry indoor use only and should be kept out of bathrooms, porches and any exposed outdoor spot.
The bulb uses visible LED filaments behind clear transparent glass for a vintage look, so it reads as a traditional filament lamp rather than a frosted opal bulb. It measures 35 mm in diameter by 97 mm long and weighs 14 g, running on 220 to 240 V AC at an efficiency of 137 lm/W with a colour rendering of Ra 80. It is fully dimmable on a compatible dimmer, and rated for 15,000 hours. It is not a smart bulb, so there is no app or voice control.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has an E14 cap, also called Small Edison Screw or SES, which is the smaller of the two screw-in fittings. Check that your lamp or fitting takes E14 rather than the larger E27 before ordering.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
The LED itself draws only 5.9 W but gives out 806 lumens, equivalent to a 60 W old incandescent candle bulb. You get the same brightness for a small fraction of the running cost.
Is this bulb dimmable?
Yes, it is fully dimmable when used with a compatible LED dimmer switch. If the light flickers or will not dim smoothly, the dimmer may need to be one rated for low-wattage LED loads.
What does the warm white colour and filament look like?
It is a 2700K warm white, the soft traditional candle tone, with visible LED filaments behind clear glass for a vintage look. The C35 candle shape and exposed filaments make it well suited to fittings where the bulb is on display.
